Christmas

Our first Christmas married was so wonderful! We started it off with a fun Christmas party at our friends (the Sistrunks) home. It was an ugly sweater party but i'm cheap and just bought us matching snoopy shirts instead.

Kyle's brother and his wife invited us to go watch the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas concert. It was a great concert, the dancing and singing were wonderful. This was toward the end of the performance when all the decorations were out and it looked beautiful.
We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas day with the Homolik's. We started with a really yummy Christmas eve dinner. The grandkids then put on a talent show which was adorable and really brought the Christmas spirit. After that Kyle and his brothers competed in a cup stacking competition. Kyle got down to 9 seconds and lost to Neal by like  .5 seconds. Christmas day we went to church with Kyle's parents and the ward put on a beautiful musical program.
Chiquita also came to stay with us for the break. This is a picture of her with her new toy that she got in her stocking.

Kyle completely spoiled me for Christmas and got me everything I wanted. This was my favorite gift. The K stands for Kyle (obviously) and the stone is aquamarine, my birthstone.

On the 23rd we had a Christmas party at my parents house with our family. It was great because some of my aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents were there. We had a dinner and then opened gifts.

My parents got us an engraved picture of the Draper temple with her wedding date on it. It's very beautiful.

Married Life

Since we got married we've had lots of changes in our life. We moved down to Springville and live in a four plex that Kyle and his brothers own. I started a new job teaching 8th grade Health at Dixon Middle School in Provo. It's a challenge but everyday I love it more and more. Kyle and I also got called to teach the CTR 7B class at church. The kids are so adorable and really make church a great experience every week. We love being married... every day is a new adventure.

During Halloween my brother Matt and his wife Heidi came down to Utah from Colorado with their adorable kids. We had a baby blessing for their new baby Porter and had lots of fun nights together as a family. It's hard living so far away but when they are here we love being together. Here are some pictures from their visit.

If I wasn't so cheap or busy I would make a christmas card so here it is.... Merry Christmas love the Homolik's :)

Wedding

Many of you have seen our wedding pictures but I thought I'd share the experience of that day for those who couldn't be there. We got sealed on July 16 at 9am!!! So of course I barely slept the night before because I was so excited. The day was warm and beautiful. We got sealed in the Draper temple and it was so beautiful! I love that temple. There is something about how it's just snuggled up into the mountain that makes it seem so cozy. The view from every angle is amazing.

This is my favorite picture! I love all of the colors. I can't remember how we got my dress to do that, I think it might have been the wind but it looks cool.

I had the most beautiful bridesmaids!

The photographer didn't know anyones name so she made up nicknames for everyone. Amber was the tall one, Lisa the sister, Tracy maid of honor, and then everyone one else was just other. HaHa it was pretty funny.

We have the most adorable nieces and nephews! Daphne did not want to take a picture but her face is so hilarious. The next month we got a new nephew and a new niece. I love new babies in the family.

 The food was sooooooo good
I made all the bird houses and baskets and pretty much everything else lol. I don't recommend that to anyone it was pretty stressful.

I've always wanted a cupcake cake and was perfect. My friend Sharlan works at the Sweet Tooth Fairy and made our cake and all our desserts they were sooooo delicious!!
The bouquet toss and garter toss were so funny because we have almost NO single friends. We had to force all of our married friends into the circle.
My one single friend (Kerali) caught the bouquet and 4 months later she was engaged :)

Nathan (Tracys baby) caught the garter. He is still looking ;)

Some of my friends from Corona were there and it was so awesome being together again!
